for this cat that showed up at my door. My first cat was named eince (eins) german for one, secound cat Haws (hausenfefer?) german for rabbit, my third cat is named moya (mausenfalla?) German for mouse trap.... Think of any good names for the fourth? If I pick your 10 Points plus a thumps up!
I'm looking for a cute foreign (preferably german) name.....?
Blitzkreig
Junker (pronounced Yonker) or Stuka (stoo-ka). Both of these were German bombers during WW2.
If you think you can get a way with it (though I would probably avoid this myself), der fuhrer. It means the leader. But it was what the Nazis called Hitler, so it might not be the best idea.
I personally like Stuka myself. It was a dive bomber, whereas the Junker 88 was more like the American B-17 Fortress bombers.
I don't know much about German beyond their military during WW2, sorry about that.
I just thought of Kaiser or Willhelm (German leader during WW1).

Reply:Cats in Germany used to be called Mieze, Mohrle, Mule, Minka or Kitty. But Mausefalle is a really funny idea. (There are many more interesting names in black, and blue between your question and this answer...)
By the way, Hasenpfeffer is a meal. Hase is a hare. The rabbit is called Kaninchen, but it's very popular to say Karnickel (stressed on the second syllable) instead of it.
Reply:Heidi like 'hide-ee'
