Reply:Congrats on your decision to get a puppy. I do have a different point of view than other when naming a bigger dog. Be careful when choosing his name. As you know some people may not be comfortable with bigger dogs like a German Shepard (amongst others). Giving your dog a cute or friendly name may help people feel more comfortable with your dog. I invite you to look at my site and see if you can find a name that you like.

Recipe for sweet cabbage tarts? They are German, I believe. Is there a name for these?
2 crust pastry recipe
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 red onion, chopped
1/2 large head red cabbage, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup cubed Gruyere or Swiss cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Prepare pie crust and divide dough into four pieces. Roll out each between waxed paper into 7" rounds. Fit each into a 4" tart ring, or simply put the crusts on two cookie sheets. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Saute onion in olive oil in a large skillet until soft. Then add cabbage, vinegar, sugar, and 1/2 cup water. Cover pan and simmer for 10 minutes, until cabbage is soft, stirring frequently. Then uncover pan and cook for 5-8 minutes longer on medium high heat, stirring frequently, until liquid is absorbed.
Divide half of the cabbage mixture evenly among the pastry circles. If you aren't using the tart rings, just mound the mixture in the center of the circles of pastry. Sprinkle with Gruyere cheese cubes and grated Parmesan cheese, and top with remaining cabbage mixture. Fold crust edges over the top of the cabbage mixture, pleating to form a ruffled edge. Bake tarts at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Remove tart rings and serve. Serves 4

I never heard of this dish when I was living in Germany, but the recipe looks interesting.
There's a good chance this might be a Swiss dish.

What web site do i need to go to and find out if a last name is german or american?
Other than the native americans (indians) there are no "American" names. Now, all you need to do is determine if the name is German, Prussian, Celtic, or some other European source.

Need for new born boy a modern turkish name what sounds turkish and german or english?

Need for new born boy a modern turkish name what sounds turkish and german or english?
I think ''Teo(man)'' would sound German/English, people would just think it was Theo or something.
Deniz (sea) is also a very beautiful name, and is similar to Denis.
Reply:I think that deniz (in german :dennis),,kenan (keenan),davut ( sounds like David) are very great names,And german people can even speak the names xD. But if you want modern names, there are for example: fatih, deniz(it is also a modern name),davut(also a modern name),Arda(it's very famous in Turkey..and a name of a footballplayer IN galatasaray),Ali edc...
Lean rober is better than rober lean..but rober isn't a turkish name?.
I think, that would be better : Lean Deniz oder Lean Kenan....
Reply:Neither Rober nor Lean is a Turkish name.
Besides, I don't get this, you want to give a Turkish name but you don't want it to sound Turkish. Then, why try to give a Turkish name? Give him a German/English name already...
I guess, by modern, what you mean is, you want it to be only Turkish, and not an Islamic name.?
Anyways, the name "Can" (it is read the same as "John" in Turkish) means "the core of life/soul". But it can be confusing as for how to read. There is also "Cans谋n" meaning "You are soul" which is read just like "Johnson".
Some (non-Islamic) Turkish names i like for boys are:
Mete, Arda, Teo(man), Alp, Aras, Polat, Aslan, Bilge, Bora, Boran, Mert , Ege (the Aegan), Cenk, Cengiz, Demir, Devrim, Deniz, Erdem, Emre, Evren, Kaya, Kartal , Hakan, Koray, Metin, Okan, Sarp, Serkan, Umut, Ural...which have beautiful meanings with no Turkish letter (like 眉,枚) in them.
and they are easy to read. Check out how they sound from this link(Turkish vocal dictionary):
http://www.tdkterim.gov.tr/seslisozluk/
Reply:Altan, Aslan, Baris, 陌brahim...
Reply:Mete (my brother's name): the founder of the Asian Hun Empire
Arman : missing (someone)
Erin : mature
Kaan : ruler
Teoman: ( he can use teo) father of mete han, ruler
Reply:My Turkish/German friends used Davut. This works in both.
Neither Rober nor Lean work in Turkish, sorry.

Just pronounce all A's like AH and E like EH, that should cover most of the names. An E at the end of a name is not silent.
Some more (german letter = english phonetics):
AU = OW
EE = EH, not a long ee sound
IE = a long ee sound
i = ee
J = Y, not "dsh"

Is Bloss a German name? I have been told it is French...?
How is this name pronounced? Bloss with a short o or long o?.......If it has the long o sound, probably French/German, right on the border. Gross is from the German reight of passage so Bloss definitely would be of German decent......My last name is Weicheret, German, and it seems Bloss would be more German than French......you might want to Google this question.....you might find some interesting facts on the Bloss Family Album. Good luck my dear German comrade. Long live Hitler....I'm a teaser of course.
Is Bloss a German name? I have been told it is French...?

Bloss
German: from Middle High German bloz 鈥榥aked鈥? 鈥榙estitute鈥? applied as a nickname for a poor person, or for someone who dressed inappropriately, or for a man without a beard.
German: variant of Blass.
Swedish: unexplained; possibly an adoption of the German name.
Dictionary of American Family Names, Oxford University Press, ISBN 0-19-508137-4
Reply:When I searched rootsweb, there were about 6,000+ Bloss as a last name. The earliest date I found in Germany was 1662. This site is a free site and it listed several databases to search for your ancestors. It also listed Sweden and a couple other Countries. Sometimes, the ancestor that you are looking for, this site has people who had already started the family name. I have found on some of mine, they would give the origin of the name.

Katharina

Silke
Klaudia
Franziska
I was thinking of a nice German name for our unborn daughter..?
Great idea...Eva Kathatina is lovely!
Reply:Silke sounds really pretty... but the real question is if they have good meanings.
Reply:Emily is a quintessential German girls name... It derives from the German Emil and means rival... Go to the website I listed below and you can search by nationality/origin. Choosing from the above I'd go with Klaudia but I'd go with a C instead of a K... Klaudia with a K is Polish in origin. Th C also has a more familiar look to it and will throw people off less. Reply:I lived in Germany for over a year when I was in high school and one of my best friend's name is Silke. I love that name. You never hear it in the States. She is 100% German, but married an American soldier. Good luck naming your daughter!
Reply:I would choose Katharina, but that is because the name runs in our family. your best bet to chose a name is to use it when speaking to your stomach( if you do that) or while discussing your child in conversation. Whichever feels most natural is the one to pick.. Also you can imagine yourself at three important parts of the child's life (graduations, inaugurations, etc) and imagine which name you can hear being called... these are how I picked my children's names... Congrats!

Best wishes to you!

Where I begin to find out the origin/meaning of a German word/name? Tried online dictionaries w/o luck.?
I have tried to research online dictionaries to find the origin of a german word (yes I am positive it's german)without any luck...any suggestions? and I am positive of the spelling also...
Where I begin to find out the origin/meaning of a German word/name? Tried online dictionaries w/o luck.?
I have seen small stores that sell ethnic items (like scottish kilts, german beer mugs). Why don't you see if there's one in your area, and give them a call. The scottish store near me had a book with the derivations of the names in it. Maybe a german store will have the same kind of a book, or know where you might find that information. Of course, you could just go to this web site for your answer : http://german.about.com/library/blsurnam...
Reply:http://www.library.uiuc.edu/mdx/bibliogs...
Reply:Why are you keeping the word secret ? You have a much better chance of getting the information direct instead of refering you to some dictionary.
Reply:What's the word?
Reply:You might have better luck if you tell us what the word/name is.
Reply:In my opinion, EVERY free online translation website seemed to have been developed by someone who knew one of the two language fluently and not both. (not billigual.) Most of them are pretty much useless unless you are looking up a single word. (no phrases, or no complete webpage/document translation.)
What's the word/name?
Reply:Did you try a Liabrary or a language department of a university? I have a friend that lives in Germany. If I knew the word I could ask him to check with some German Nationals and perhaps find an answer for you.

OK unusual question. Is the surname Hieronimus a German name or is it Greek? Thank you?
It is a family name, ( my mother's maiden name), I always thought was purely German. Last week my sister was told by a Greek that this is a Greek name so we are confused and wonder if any one out there really knows? Thank you so much.
OK unusual question. Is the surname Hieronimus a German name or is it Greek? Thank you?
It appears to have its roots in Greece. It first appears as the name of a greek general , and the next reference I found was St. Jerome, and he was born in an area that is noe Bosnia. The german side to the family come a little later.
Here's where I started looking
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hieronymus
Reply:If your serious about knowing, you can trace your family tree back to whatever country it is. That's really the only way to know for sure.
Reply:i think its Greek
Reply:Hieronimus is the German of Hieronymus (so you're both right). It was a fairly common first name (Hieronymus Bosch) in Germany. Both are derivitives of the name Jerome.
A famous Greek general and contemporary of Alexander the Great was named Hieronymous of Cardia.
Reply:Greek names usually end in "is". Roman names end in "us".

Reply:A good way to name an animal is based on it's personality. For example, if he's a happy go lucky dog, associate a fun name (i.e. Baxter). If he's a protective type of dog or intimidating (i.e. Zeus).
Reply:I would look at the dog itself and its personality. After that, think about material or living objects that bring out your dog. (Think MASCULINE) For example, if he is fast, I would think of "Lightening" or "Dash". or if he is strong, "Bull" or "Hercules" you could even name him "Midnight" or "Thunder". These are names I would choose. I have a very husky yellow lab who my sister named "Buck", but that is just her.

Name of the great German battleship that was finally destroyed by the British?
WORLD WAR 2!!!!!!
Name of the great German battleship that was finally destroyed by the British?
When and where? THe Tirpitz, at Scapa Flow 1942
THe Bismark in the Atlantic. 1941
Tell your teacher to be a little more precise.
Naz F check again. The Bismark was a Pocket Battleship. It was built for speed, along with the Graf Spee and the Tirpitz. It only displaced 41,000 tons. Whereas the Iowa and the New Jersey displaced over 45,000 tons.
Reply:The bismarck. She was the largest battleship ever built, that in the Battle of Denmark Strait managed to sink the largest Brit battleship, the Hood; May 1941. That same month, the Brits managed to sink the Bismarck.

Reply:The Bismark, although it took several planes and other battleship's to do so, and i think the Bismark manged to destroy one or two british battleships. However, i believe it was a torpedo from one of the planes that finished the job.
Reply:The battleship as other answers say is Bismarck. It was then Germany's biggest battleship. The sinking showed when the great Prime Minister Winston Churchill was determined to do something he usually got it done.

What the German name Metzker means? A person from Metz (today a French city)?
Metzker is found only 206 times in Germany compared to 8,155 Metzger. Mainly, Metzker can be seen as a variation of Metzger. In Saxony-Anhalt, Metzker can be found almost as often as Metzger (35 vs. 36 occurrences). It is the highest percentage (4 per 100,000 entries) of that name. The reason is not clear. There is no village similar to the surname Metzker in Saxony-Anhalt. Metzger is the most frequent butcher surname in Germany. In average, 23 per 100,000 Germans bear that name. The term derives from regional word for "slaughter" which is still used in High German - but only for slaughter of men.

What was the name of the German Boxer that Roy Jones refused to fight back in the early 2000's?
He was undefeated for a long time. Would Roy have beaten him?
What was the name of the German Boxer that Roy Jones refused to fight back in the early 2000's?
Jones and Dariusz Michalczeweski, who is actually a Polish born (German) fighter who also held a cruiserweight title never "got it on" mainly due to them both being hard headed fools. I remember this guy vividly. He was a really good fighter. With he and Jones both seemingly being the best at what they did, everyone knew that it was the fight waiting to happen.Besides money, neither fighter wanted to leave home and fight. After gaining his German citizenship in the late 80's Dariusz primarily fought Germany.....just as Roy preferred not going abroad to fight. If you are interested in seeing the Polish-German fighter in action some of his fights are available on VHS/DVD. I know that "Tiger" Dariusz can be seen in bouts against Virgil Hill, Derick Harmon, Montell Griffin, and, Fabrice Tiozzo on dvd. Anyway Dariusz, or Tiger Dariusz Michalzweski is the guy you are thinking of. On a final note, Roys' ducking finally caught up with him a few years ago with Tarver and then (Glen) Jones. Yep, it always does catch up with ya'.
Reply:Calzaghe isn't German.
Reply:he was avoiding Joe Calzaghe (welsh not german).
Reply:Joe Calzaghe 43 - 0 (32 KOs) is the fighter. He still remains undefeated, and in my own opinion, would knock Roy out at this stage of both there careers.
Reply:It was a German by the name of Sven Ottke. He retired undefeated with a 34-0 record in 2004. The knock on Ottke was he fought B/C level fighters and only had 6 career KOs. The only reason the fight never happened was Ottke refused to fight in America and Roy refused to fight him in Europe.
Reply:it was the one last guy said michelsheski or something like that, roy wasnt going to get enough money and didnt want to go to germany. roy would have beat him,i think the guy had artificial leg.
Reply:I had no idea who Calzaghe was at the time. I remember Roy Jones would dismiss him as a bum. But after watching a few of Calzaghe fights I think Jones was ducking him! Its perfectly understandable. Joe Calzaghe had no name, and would have given Roy Jones a REAL fight! and for what? Maybe he knocks poor Roy Jones out and he doesnt even get a good payday!
Reply:You are likely talking about Sven Ottke. A talented fighter, but Jones would have disposed of him with ease. Ottke was undeafeted, but didnt fight any real opposition. His later opponents all had solid records, but those records were achieved through weak opposition as well. Ottke's greatest acomplishment would be beating Glen Johnson, yeah thats it. Also, Ottke had one of the worst KO ratio's of any fighter, he was 34-0 with a whooping SIX KO's
Reply:I know he and Dariusz Michaelzewski(sp?) were avoiding each other in the 90's and such. Maybe that's who you're talking about.

German name "Armin" ending on -min(old for "man"). Why some muslim boys麓names (Emin, Jasmin) also end on -min?
Is there any connection? What does -min mean in these names?
German name "Armin" ending on -min(old for "man"). Why some muslim boys麓names (Emin, Jasmin) also end on -min?
it is not related to that german root you ve mentioned but these are from arabic language....."min" has not its seperate meaning in arabic..u ve mentioned "emin"its "ameen" and it means "the person who likes peace" as in arabic , the word "aman" is used.
and the word "jasmin" is in english,in arabic it is "yaasmeen" which is the name of the flower. So jasmin and yasmeen are same in meaning... reply me if u want my contact...iman_sheikh_2003@yahoo.com
Reply:I do not know how much you can rely on the explanation of the Arabic names, but I do know that you are mistaken as to the German name 'Armin'. This goes back to the Germanic god 'Irmin' and it means something like 'under the protection of that god'; since in old times names very often were given as a kind of magic charm, an amulet so to speak, "Armin" was something like wishful thinking: may this child be safe under Irmin.
Reply:armin and jasmin and amin are diffrent .amin means honest.jasmin is a flower.armin is an iranian ancient name that means goal.so min is not a suffix .iranians and germans are old families (ariaians).armin may be their common name.

How do I write my name in Russian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, German, Portuguese and Hindi?
my name is: surname: Avi last name: Haltovsky
the pronunciation is: 1. Aa-vi 2. hal-tov-skee
thanx :-)
How do I write my name in Russian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, German, Portuguese and Hindi?
Arabic would be:
آفي هالتوفسكي
Literally: aafii haaltuufskii
There is no 'v' in the Arabic script so 'f' is used. Although there is a modified form of 'f' that is sometimes used.
All the short vowels would be transcribed as long vowels to make the name clear to prononuce, thus aafii not afi. Although Arabic script technically does not have an 'o' sound (so would be long 'uu'), your name could still be pronounced in a similar way by most people.
In hebrew Avi אבי means 'my father'. In Arabic the equivalent would be abii أبي
Reply:In german your surname would be "Avi".
Your last name would be "Haltovsky"
We also use the roman alphabet.
Names can´t be really translated if writing system is same(well almost same..german also has äöüß and none would fit in your name)
You can ask how it would be written in old german writing style
http://www.suetterlinschrift.de/Lese/Sch...
Reply:The Hindi alphabet is phonetic like English, but the sounds don't correspond 100% to English. The language is written in the Devanagari script, which would look like ...
आवी हलतोवस्की
Reply:Korean:
아비 할톱스기
since there is no V nor silent S in Korean, it would be pronounced : Abi Haltobsuki or Hartobsuki)

How come my last name is german but im not?
How do you KNOW you don't have a German grandfather way back there somewhere?
Or how do you know the name is German and not, for instance, Jewish?
How come my last name is german but im not?
Maybe your mother married a man who had a German last name. Or perhaps your ancestry is German but you weren't born in Germany.
Reply:My last name has germanic roots, but my father (who is 100% Irish) was adopted.
Or, you don't live in Germany, and you consider yourself whatever nationality where you presently live.

A name does not have a nationality. You may believe your name "is German", but is that a proven fact, or your belief?
2nd
A name being of any "nationality" (which is debatable to begin with) is never guaranteed to be anything about someone's actual, researched and verified, ancestry.
Reply:#1. Are you certain you surname is of German origin?
#2. How far back have you traced your family tree?
#3. Have you done a DNA test?
#4. Of course, your nationality is where you reside, or where you have established nationality.
Well, have fun trying to figure it all out!
Reply:Because your family left Germany and came to another country, but retained their name.
Reply:Many settlers in St. Petersburg were German. Names don't always tell the complete story of anyone's heritage. There is no absolute pure race of people. People have wandered the face of the earth settling in other lands, invading other lands. There have been boundary changes. You might have ancestors that came from Russia but they might have some German ancestry.

How would I write, "(person's name) is looking forward to the weekend" in German?
The best way to express this would be:
"______ freut sich auf das Wochenende"
You'll find some other entries for "to look forward to" in a dictionary, but "sich freuen auf" is the most correct/commen construction for this context.
Hopes this helps!

What is the name of the German referee who was banned from being a referee any more?
Robert Hoyzer
What is the name of the German referee who was banned from being a referee any more?
Robert Hoyzer.
Reply:Robert Hoyzer
Robert Hoyzer (born August 28, 1979 in Berlin, Germany) is a former football referee who scandalized German football by fixing matches in the Bundesliga scandal of 2005.
Hoyzer, a member of the Bundesliga's Hertha BSC Berlin was registered by the German Football Association (DFB) as a referee in 2003. He refereed in the second division and regional leagues but was not selected to officiate in the top division.
Hoyzer's career as a referee came to an abrupt end in January 2005 after he was suspected of betting on a first-round German Cup tie between regional league side Paderborn and Bundesliga club Hamburger SV on August 21, 2004. In the match, HSV took a 2-0 lead, but Hoyzer sent off HSV striker Emile Mpenza in the first half, and also awarded Paderborn two questionable penalties. Paderborn went on to win 4-2.

What is the name of the german band featured in a magazine?
I don't remember the name of this band, but they were in a magazine. It was like, if you like this person, then you'll like him. I think it said, if you like Gerard Way, then you'll like {the leader of this german band}. Or maybe it was Pete Wentz. I don't remember. If you can tell me the name, that would be great!
Thanks!

It might of been TOKIO HOTEL! The best band to ever walk this earth :)
They are similar to Fall Out Boy more then My Chemical Romance.

Is Kuffrey a German Last Name?
1920 census has a family of 7. Head of household born in Ireland. Now that doesn't prove anything. A lot of Germans immigrated to Britain or Ireland before coming to the U. S.
Actually origins of names are not important in genealogy and the same name can come from more than one nationality.
If this is your family name the best thing to do is to trace your Kuffrey line back to your immigrant ancestor. Anytime you wish to do this there are lots of people on this board that can give you some great tips and ideas. Just ask.

Is Kuffrey a German Last Name?
I've only found a few records that identify any origins. One is a man from Syria who registered for the draft in WWI. Another shows it's an "Americanization" of the Irish name Caffrey. The third has it coming from Switzerland in 1856. That one doesn't identify a kanton and only shows they left from LeHavre for Canada.
It's not in any of the phone directories for any of the German-speaking countries in Europe.
So the long and short of it that this probably isn't the original spelling from "the old country" and was slaughtered after the immigrants arrived in North America.
Is Kuffrey a German Last Name?
The Charles Kuffrey referred to was actually a resident of Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Syria on the date shown. To my knowledge he never lived in New York though he had relatives in Providence, RI. Report Abuse
Reply:I checked on ancestry.com and there are a few references to KUFFREY.
In 1920 there is one family in Conn. whose name is KUFFREY. One of the people was born in Ireland and another in Wales.
There is a WWI Draft Registration form for a Charles Kuffrey born on 25 Jan 1896 in the Syrian Arab Republic. He resided in Utica, Oneida, NY

How do you pronounce the german female name "Heike"?
Please try to spell out how the name sounds. I have a job interview today with a woman named Heike and I want to make sure I pronounce her name correctly when I greet her. thanks in advance!!
How do you pronounce the german female name "Heike"?
I believe it is Hi-keh (short e sound)
Reply:You could ask her how she spells her beautiful name.
The name is pronounced hai kee with an accent on the first syllable.
Rhymes with Nike, kirkey and psyche with a slightly higher accenting on the first syllable.
Reply:It is not usually necessary to know how to say the _first_ name of someone who is interviewing you - you probably won't be on a first name basis with them anyway. When you get to the office, tell the receptionist "I have a 10:00 appointment with Ms. Braun" and see how the receptionist says the name when she calls Heike Braun.
(We all know how to say the German name Heidi, so the Hei part must be pronounced like "hi", right? And the emphasis is probably on this Hi part, so it's probably close to Hi' keh. If it were Hi kee I think it would be spelled like Heidi)
Reply:You pronounce it- (Hi-ker) but with a kind of (euh) sound on the (er)
hope that's ok!
good luck with your interview!
Reply:The third answer above, from Snow, is correct. In German, the dipthong 'ei' is pronounced as a long i, while 'ie' is pronounced as a long e. The e on the end is pronounced as eh. Therefore, the name is pronounced Hi' keh as Snow said.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the german names for volkswagon parts?
I an looking for the german names of different volkswagon parts, such as what do they call the windshield wipers, steering wheel, heater, seats, etc.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the german names for volkswagon parts?
First spell Volkswagen right!
Reply:Ebay.de and babelfish - you can translate into german then search ebay.de (ebay germany) and see the more common names of what you are looking for with pictures.Car jargon in germany versus the basic english to german translation may not directly translate because many english names for car parts are slang terms - for example - 5 spd tranny = 5 gang getriebe = german for 5 spd gear box, shock absorber = sto脽d盲mpfer (or stossdampfer) = german for damper (or literally impact damper / absorber), etc.

Is Inga a German name only or is it also common for other European countries?
The German version I'm familiar with is Inge (pronounced much the same way as Inga). Having looked that up, I find that it is Scandinavian, German or Dutch.
However, the Inga form is Scandinavian, German, Dutch or Russian.
Is Inga a German name only or is it also common for other European countries?
i knew a danish chick named inga

Kleinsasser is a German name?
Is "Kleinsasser" a Germane name? Is it a surname?
Thank you.
Kleinsasser is a German name?
Kleinsasser is somehow German... but when you google the name mostly Austrian websites come up, so I guess Kleinsasser is an Austrian family name.
Reply:The first part of this word (Klein) in my opinion means small in German.
As for the 'sasser' latter part, this sounds like a universal worm. Jose
Reply:Yes, it most likely is in the wider sense of the word, i.e. it can be Swiss or Austrian too. It is a surname well enough.
"Klein" means small, and "sasser" is a term for a social status. This goes back to times when e.g. peasants had a small plot of land, but were free and not serfs. "Sasser" is a cognate of "sitzen", which means "to sit"; it is also related to "settle". Hence a literal translation might be "Small Settler".

What is the name of that German techno song..?
The music video has that guy singing the lyrics and he's on the computer (with other people on the computer) playing some computer game. Also the English words are subtitled on the bottom and it's quite repetitive. But catchy...
I need the title of the song and/or the artist.
Thanks

Numa Numa?

Is it true that German companies usually do not have "corporation" into their name?
Is it true that German companies usually do not have "corporation" into their name? Have you ever heard of Excell Capital Corporation that is registered in rochstrasse 210,D-10178 Berlin, German?
Is it true that German companies usually do not have "corporation" into their name?
German companies usually have GmbH in their names. It stands for Gesellschaft mit beschr盲nkter Haftung, translated as company with limited liability. The GmbH has become the most common corporation form in Germany, since the AG (Aktiengesellschaft), the other major company form corresponding to a stock corporation, was until recently much more complicated to form and operate.
Reply:German companies might or might not have the word corporation in their name. If you're asking whether the company is legit or not, you should ask in which business office (Amtsgericht) they are registered, what is the registration number, and then you can contact that business registration office to check more details about them.
However, there is no number 210 in Rochstrasse in 10178 Berlin, as this is a very short street with only 18 house numbers.

And may I also note that the word Excell with two "L"s is not standard word in the English language.
In general, a rule of thumb with anyone who offers you deals through the Internet without you asking for it: it is spam and it is usually also scam.

How about:
Lonnie von Haloruns ( or whatever your last name is )
Lassa von Haloruns
Leah " "
Luke von Haloruns
Lutz " "
Neeko " "
Have fun and enjoy the pup.
Reply:you should find good German names for them both
Reply:My German Shepherd's name is Ajax.
When I get another GSD I'll name him Achilles.
If female, I would name her Bella Noche (Beautiful Night).
Reply:That sounds like adorable breeds! For a girl, I suggest Mollie, Allie, Sheba, Una. For a boy, I suggest Rocky, Uno, Zeta, Alpha.Try thinking of names from it's color (Reddy), actions(Skipper), popular animal characters(Pluto) and personalities(Smily, Sassy). I also think it's really cool to give it a "pair" name with another dog she/he likes, like "Salt and Pepper" or "Mittens and Gloves" or "Fish and Chips" Hope this helps!
Reply:Rex and Roxy

Is The Last Name Orevaugh German?
My grandpa's real last name is Orevaugh, and he wants to find out if
his last name is German. My grandma and I think that the last name is indeed German, but we are not exactly sure. And everywhere we look in Google, it says that the last name Orevaugh is not a real last name. But, my granpa's last name is indeed that. Please, help me and my grandpa find out if his last name is German!
Is The Last Name Orevaugh German?
Orevaugh is absolutely not a German name. I know this because I have no clue how to pronounce it.
Reply:The name is not German as it stands. You should first try to find out whether the name was changed when your ancestors arrived in the country. Many German names were changed to sound more English or because the immigration clerk had no clue how to spell the name properly.
Reply:I don't think so.... it doesn't look German at all..... at least from what I've learned and such. It is european though, just not German
Reply:I highly doubt that your grandfather's last name is German. It doesn't have any kind of indication that would point to the German language.
However Ore (脰re!?) is/used to be a Scandinavian coin, used in countries like Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Maybe you should look for your roots there!?
Reply:It is a real last name, probably just not very common. I don't think it is German but I could be wrong. A lot of names Vaugh/Baugh are English-Irish-Scottish. I know Orebaugh was documented in Scotland in 1871. Probably related to your surname. I looked up the separate names of "Vaugh" and "Ore" and my results said both were Scottish.

Does anyone know of an old German carmaker by the name of Lloyds?
WRONG!!!...There WAS a German car company called Hansa-Lloyd;it was a part of the Borgward Group that was around from the early 1950s to the late 1960s...
A few Lloyds were even sold here in the US...as were a few Hansas...
Trust me, I'm a car buff...I SHOULKD KNOW!!!...
HTH...
Does anyone know of an old German carmaker by the name of Lloyds?
Yes, there used to be a brand called Lloyd. These vehicles also had the nickname "Hansaplast-Bomber", which referred to the way they were built - namely from a mixture of materials which, if my memory does not fail me, consisted of cardboard and laminates of dubious qualities. The vehicle was used as a benchmarking basis for the Trabi cars of Eastern Germany. The Lloyd was meant to be an affordable, yet dignified vehicle for people with high aspirations and small budgets. A little executive-car, if you will. They sadly didn't quite hit it off though, and then disappeared from the scene some time in the 1960s, I believe...
Reply:Norddeutsche Automobil und Motoren GmbH was a German brand created in 1908 and was owned by the Norddeutsche Lloyd shipping company. The factory was in Bremen.
Reply:Sir William Loyd was not a German car maker he distinguised himself in the British motor trade---Cheers--
