Pen name suggestions: What are German surnames you find really cool sounding?

I was trying to think of some surnames that end in "Stein", "Hardt" or "Mann".





I'm toying with the idea of using something German or Irish for a surname as my pen name if I can become a published writer someday. I already got an Irish name I'm set on, now I'm trying to think of German ones, even possibly Eckstein.

Reply:Unless you already have a manuscript prepared for presentation to a publisher through your own literary agent you're putting the cart before the horse. It isn't the pen name that sells the book, it's the content of the material.
