Name of the great German battleship that was finally destroyed by the British?
When and where? THe Tirpitz, at Scapa Flow 1942

THe Bismark in the Atlantic. 1941

Tell your teacher to be a little more precise.

Naz F check again. The Bismark was a Pocket Battleship. It was built for speed, along with the Graf Spee and the Tirpitz. It only displaced 41,000 tons. Whereas the Iowa and the New Jersey displaced over 45,000 tons.
Reply:The bismarck. She was the largest battleship ever built, that in the Battle of Denmark Strait managed to sink the largest Brit battleship, the Hood; May 1941. That same month, the Brits managed to sink the Bismarck.

Reply:The Bismark, although it took several planes and other battleship's to do so, and i think the Bismark manged to destroy one or two british battleships. However, i believe it was a torpedo from one of the planes that finished the job.
Reply:The battleship as other answers say is Bismarck. It was then Germany's biggest battleship. The sinking showed when the great Prime Minister Winston Churchill was determined to do something he usually got it done.
