Anybody Here Ever Meet A Brazilian With A German Last Name ?

Most Americans are surprised to find out that I am Brazilian because I don't have a Portuguese or Spanish sounding last name. My last name is as German as it gets. My Germanic pigmentation also catches them off guard. Here is what I look like.

Yes, my former roommate was Brazilian. He had a double last name, and the first of those was German, while the second was Italian. He didn't look particularly Brazilian, either (and I've known other Brazilian exchange students who looked a lot more like what the typical central European would label "Brazilian" to look at), and we all shared an apartment in Germany. So... Well, all I can say is: His last name made the label on our door bell look as if there were four people sharing the apartment, but there were only the three of us. (B., we miss you!)
Reply:Gisele Bunchen in a Brazilian German.

Plenty of Germans settled in parts of Brazil, hence the German lastnames. You probably have some German ancestry. You're cute.
Reply:Yes. She was blonde haired and blue eyed it was weird.
Reply:I only know of Gisele B眉ndchen. She has a german last name but she's brazilian
Reply:Funny u ask that....one of my coworkers is Brazilian but his last name is Wegner(sounds like vegner) which is German
