Belgian Shepherds are not less than 40 lbs people!





There are no dogs that look like a German Shepherd. There are smaller dogs who herd sheep that are under 40 lbs. Shelties, Corgis, Swedish Vallhunds.

Name a breed of dog that looks like a german shepherd but smaller. It must weigh less than 40 pounds.?
A Belgian Shepherd Malinois looks similar to a German Shepherd but is lighter framed and a "square" dog, i.e. they are as high as they are long.

While the Malinois may look similar to a German Shepherd their temperament is very very different.





I suggest that you do alot of research and meet some Malinois before getting one. They are a very intelligent breed that can get bored very easily and become destructive if they are not trained properly.

Mini or Toy American Eskimo kinda look like white GSD's.


Schiupperke looks like a small solid black long coat (minus the tail)



Reply:If you want a VERY small dog, try getting a Chihuahua. My Chihuahua looks exactly like a miniature German Shepherd. Here's a picture of him.

Reply:Do some window shopping at the AKC. Then you can find a rescue group for whatever breed and get one almost free.
